Adam McCarthy defied his recent illness to compete in the South of England indoor pentathlon. Despite having missed a few weeks training he came a creditable 14th with 2732 points.

His individual performances were 60 metre Hurdles 9.76, Long Jump 5.39, Shot 9.80, 60 metres 7.59 and High Jump 1.68
