Junior Ladies Surrey Cross Country Season

A very successful Saturday at the Surrey Indoor Championships saw four of Walton’s senior athletes compete and bring home five medals.

Helen Williams led the way with two medals,  winning the long jump with 5.51m and coming 2nd in the 60m sprint with a time of 7.90s. Jo Regan achieved what we think is a pb, since she entered the masters ranks, of 4.76 to pick up the long jump silver medal.

Walton had another winner in Adam McCarthy, who claimed the 60m hurdles title in 11.48s. Adam also ran 7.69 for 3rd place in his heat of the 60m sprint, failing to progress beyond the heat by only nine hundredths of a second.

Last , but certainly not least, was Craig Timmings in the pole vault. Craig vaulted 4.00m, for the second time in his life, equalling his outdoor pb and claiming a new indoor pb and also the silver medal.

Congratulations to all four.
