Carla Letheby & Josh Corrigan represented Surrey in the South of England U.13 Intercounties Championship at Kingsmeadow this summer.
The competition was extremely tough with some outstanding times and distances recorded.
Carla was third in the javelin and shot and 4th in the discus. Carla threw a pb in the shot of 8.82m to maintain her no. 1 ranking in Surrey and moved her up the rankings to no. 11 nationally.
Josh was 6th in the high jump in a close competition and 5th in the javelin.
Surrey were the overall winners with the boys team first and the girls team second. Carla was the top scoring Surrey athlete.
Hugh Fleming ran in the 800m non-scoring event with a time of 2.34.9. Hugo is a first year U.13 so this was a good achievement as he was running against boys a year older than himself.
