Woking Young Athletes Open Championship

There was a good turn out of U.13 and U.11 athletes at the Woking Young Athletes Open Championship this year, with a number of personal bests for the season.
The open had a large number of competitors this year with some 700 athletes taking part, making all events very competitive.

U.13 Boys
Josh Corrigan 80M hurdles  14.77 (pb), javelin 28.11m, high jump – 1.40m

Best results of the day for the girls were by Abi who was 4th in the high jump and Carla who was 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot. Katie was 2nd in her 200m heat and just missed out on a place the final.

Josh Corrigan was the only boy from the club but managed to come 2nd in the hurdles despite being the slowest qualifier.  Josh went on to win silver in high jump and came 4th in the javelin with one of his best throws of the year.
