This year the junior cross country relay championships were renamed to be the Bruce Judd championships, honouring Bruce, a Walton AC life member who died the year before and who had organised this event for many years.

As a result it was good to see the best turnout so far from the club, we had full teams in five of the six age groups.

The event took place, as usual, in Stoke Park in Guildford.

The under 13 girls team of Becky Morris, Alice Wills and Beth Sutherland came 12th in the opening race of the day. 

The under 15 girls were 14th through Lauren Highton, Rio Herring and Emily Wastie with Ria Lawrence running in an incomplete B team.

The under 17 ladies, Kirsty Tinkler, Kate Paton and Nicola Aylett,  managed 9th place.

The highest  finishers of fthe day were the under 13 boys with Hugo Fleming,, Sam Linsley and Gianpaulo Ruvolo coming 6th with Hugo running the 2nd fastest leg in the age group. Conor Kissane Wood ran for an incomplete B team.

The under 15 boys had the best turnout with the A team of Lukas Parker, Ben Kennard and Ben Sutherland finishing 9th and George Thomas and Jeremy Eggar running for an incomplete B team.
