Surrey Ladies Cross Country League 13th October at Esher

Walton held a home ladies cross country match for the first time ever to open this years Surrey league. The match was at West End Common, Esher on the course we usually use for the mens races, shortened appropriately but still a hilly and tough course.
The seniors raced first with Nathalie Warren leading the team home in 8th place, followed closely by Reecca Smith in 13th and Jo Locker in 18th. Team manager Liz Amos 52nd and Claire Pearce completed the team which finished a good 4th.
 
The combined under 15 & under 17 race was next with a total of 9 Walton athletes. Two under 17’s ran, Nicola Aylett was 14th and Kirsty Tinkler 17th with the team finishing 6th.
The under 15 team finished 4th with a B team coming 12th. Vicky Petrova was first home in 16th with Lauren Highton 23rd, Carla Letheby 27th, Alicia Thonet 31st, Rio Herring 32nd, Emily Wastie 37th and Ria Lawrence 38th.
