The men and boys teams started their winter season in division three of the Surrrey league on Epsom Downs.
Walton had excellent results in all age groups and if we continue like this we should be back in division 2 next season.
Alex Ferrelly won the under 17 race with Jack Marchbank 2nd, and in the under 15 age group Ben Sutherland was 2nd, George Thomas 4th, Ben Kennard 5th and Jeremy Eggar 8th with the combined team finishing an easy first.
Hugo Fleming won the under 13 race with Sam Linsley 2nd and Phillip Bearman 8th and the team coming 3rd.
The senior race was comfortably won by Jon Hamblen who finished almost a minute and a half clear of the next runner. Walton had 4 runners in the top ten with James Harvey 3rd, Jon Brine 8th and Jon Marsden 9th. Jon Ladley was 27th, Richard Drew 34th, Phil Bearman 38th, Christian Jennings 61st, Chris Taplin 65th and Sean McCarthy just holding off Steve Mills to claim the last scoring place 71st to 72nd. Alex Aylett was 82nd and Jack Rutherford 102nd.
The team came 1st, 50 points ahead of 2nds and 100 points ahead of 3rd.
