A number of Walton runners of various age groups took part in the Holly Run at Reigate just before Christmas.
The conditions were very muddy underfoot, making the steep downhill even more of a challenge than usual.
The first race of the day was for under 11 girls where Miriam Kissane-Wood had her first club race coming 44th of almost 80 runners.
Three boys ran in the under 15 & under 17 race, George Thomas was 32nd with Kyle Treherne and Conor Kissane-Wood 39th and 39th.
Alice Wills ran a great race in the under 15 girls finishing in 4th place. Nicola Aylett ran probably her best cross country race so far coming 2nd under 17 and 3rd overall in the combined under17, under20, senior and veteran race.
James Harvey led the senior men home in 3rd place with Jon Ladley 19th, Alex Aylett 35th and Guy Sellwood 37th. The team came 5th. Mark Thomas and Jack Rutherford also had satisfactory runs further down the field.
