TOM LINTERN MEDAL MEETING CRAWLEY 31st AUGUST

Walton girls came away with a good selection of medals in this years Crawley open at the K2 Leisure Centre. This is one of the best opens and was again well attended with efficient organisation by Crawley AC

Megan Houska was 4th in the U13 girls high jump with 1.30m. This was a very good U13 girls competition and Megan was unlucky not to pick up a medal.

Megan also ran in the 100m with a time of 16secs.

Lucy Weir picked up the bronze medal in the U13 girls long jump with a new pb of 4.30 m

This was again a high class competition which needed a great jump just to win the bronze medal. The jump moved Lucy up over 100 places in the national rankings.

Lucy also ran in the 100m with a time of 14.5 secs and in the 150m with a time of 21.7secs.

In the U17 girls Lisa O’Brien came second in the long jump with a new pb of 4.96m.

Lisa also won the bronze medal in the 100m with a time of 13.8 secs and was 4th in the 200m with a time of 28secs.

Carla Letheby and Sinead O’Brien won the gold and silver  medals in shot with throws of 8.88m and 7.67m

Carla picked up the silver in the javelin with a throw of 33.24m.

In the discus Carla won the gold and Sinead the bronze with throws of 34.29m and 18.76m.

Sinead also ran in the 100m and came 4th with a time of 15.2secs
