Surrey Cross Country League Match 2

Both teams were at the same venue last Saturday for the second round of Surrey League cross country matches.

The new venue of Denbies Vineyard provided an interesting course in very poor conditions.

The senior women were on first and in the absence of half the team from the first match did well to remain 9th in the league. Fiona Parry had her best race yet for the club, finishing in 11th place. HAyley CArr and Lucy King were caught out by a slightly early start to the race and having given the rest of the field a 200m start did well to gain as many places as they did.

The uner15&under 17 race was next with only one Walton runner, Alice Wills ran well for a seasons best position of 5th.

The junior boys were missing the winner from the last race but Ben Kennard led them home in 3rd with Kyle Treherne and Conor Kissane-Wood in 7th & 8th, Conor was the first under15 in the race. +
