SURREY COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS KINGSMEADOW 14TH and 15TH MAY

This year’s Championship saw a good turnout of Walton athletes winning a total of 9 gold 11 silver and 5 bronze medals.

In the senior women Suzie McLoughlin won the senior women’s 400m hurdles.

In the under 20 women Lisa O’Brien won the triple jump and 100m hurdles. Carla Letheby continued to dominate the discus winning the title for the 6th time.

Star of the Championship for the girls was Sophie Mace. Still an under 13 Sophie won the under 15 women’s hammer with a new Champioship best performance. This was followed up with wins in the discus and shot, both with Championship best performances.

In the under 17 men Curtis Knight won the hammer with a new pb and Matthew Szepietowski won the javelin again with a new pb
