The Quadkids final at Walton was contested by over 80 athletes from the South Surrey network.The boys and girls from Walton’s junior group both improved on the previous match score with nearly everyone improving on their individual score.
Sam Mace was the top Walton boy despite competing with a cold. Sam was the highest scorer in all 4 events. Cian Rose, James Turnball and Jacob Garland all performed well in a very competitive boys group and finished above the girls team.
All the girls improved on their previous scores. Most improved athlete was Darcie Weston-Jones, who added nearly 50 points to her previous score.
Top Walton girl was Charlotte Vaughan, closely followed by Tait Jones. Tait was the fastest sprinter on the evening, with Charlotte 5th fastest over 600m. Nyiesha was Walton’s best long jumper finishing 6th overall. Best throwers were Tait and Charlotte.
