Four Walton athletes were selected to represent Surrey in this year’s
Intercounties match.

Sawa Yamakawa was 7th in the shot with a distance of 8.06m, a pb for Sawa.
Sam Mace was 8th with a throw of 7.84m.

Calum Beauchamp ran an excellent time trial to win the bronze medal in the
6 lap race.

Sphie Mace won the gold medal in the shot with a throw of 11.28m, the best
in the Country this year.

Surrey’s U15 teams have won a place in the final at the L G Stadium
Birmingham. The U13 teams were both second and just missed out on a place in
the final.

The good news is that Sportshall Associates have invited Sophie to compete
as an individual

in the final on the 21st April.
