Ebbisham League Report

A small Walton team excelled at the Ebbisham division 2 match in warm conditions in Coulsdon on Sunday. Great team work throughout the match ensured the team finished in third place behind Epsom and Guildford.

In the under 15 age group there was double victories for Gabriel Roberts in 100 & LJ, with Luca Soave securing maximum points in winning the B string LJ. More double victories followed from Finn Punton and Joseph Daws-Twilley in the 300 & 800, and in the field once again Ricky Villa-Abrille was a class apart and secured victory in both the Shot and Discus.

Points were harder to pick up in the under 13 age group but all the boys never gave up. Alex Histon-Allvey gained two second places in the 100 & 800 and first place in Long Jump and newcomer Tim Skelton in his first race for the club came home in third place in a very competitive 1500.

Many other Walton athletes, ages ranging from u17 down to u11 travelled to Coulsdon to compete as non scorers. Special mention should go to newcomers Friso Boomsama, Isaac Amankwaah, Rian Bartley and Jamie Haxton who had their first taste of competitive athletics.

Thanks to all the parents and officials for supporting on the day and well done to all the boys. The full results will be posted on the Power of 10 website shortly (link will be active when the results are posted).
