SOUTH SURREY QUADKIDS FINAL WALTON 12TH SEPTEMBER

In this year’s final all the girls and boys again produced some impressive performances. Even though we were unable to put out a full boys’ team the Club still managed to come 5th out of the 8 teams in the match.

 

Clara Sawicki was the star of the night achieving another gold standard and finishing one better than last time by winning the girls’ competition. Clara also threw a pb in the howler and won the event. This was followed up with pbs in the long jump and 600m

 

Not to be out done Charlotte Vaughan achieved another silver award, just missing out on a gold. Charlotte won the 600m with a new pb and was just as impressive in the 75m with another first place. Charlotte also jumped a pb in the long jump and threw a pb in the howler.

 

The girls were backed up by Jessica McNally, Pauline Geeroms, Lia Bevan and Emma Horsey who after the four events were all tied on 167 point. Pauline jumped a pb in long jump. Emma produced pbs in the 600m and howler. Lia produced pbs in the long jump and howler

Saffy Hodge produced pbs in the long jump and howler. Sophie Cunliffe completed the team.

Top boy on the night was Oliver Coppoletti who finished 12th. Oliver also jumped a new pb in the long jump. Joshua Ray competing for the first time was 28th.
Jack Gemmell was 32nd. Jack produced pbs in the howler and 75m.

SOUTH SURREY QUADKIDS FINAL 12TH SEPTEMBER WALTON

The final saw the Club short of a full a full boys team, but the girls
were again up to full strength.

Clara Sawicki was in good form with pbs in the long jump, 600m and howler.
Clara went one better than the semi-final and was the number one girl in the
competition. A pb in the howler also saw Clara win the throws competition.

Not to be out done Charlotte Vaughan equalled or improved her performances
in in all 4 events and finished 7th overall. Charlotte was also the best
sprinter and best distance runner on the night.

The competition between the the girls was very close, so close that over the
4 events Lia Bevan, Emma Horsey, Pauline Geeroms and Jessica McNally all scored
the same number of points and were equal16th .

The girls were backed up by Saffy Hodge and Sophie Cunliffe. Saffy 
jumped a new pb in long jump and threw a new pb in the howler.

In the boy’s match Oliver Coppolletti was 12th. Oliver jumped a new pb in the
long jump.

Joshua Ray in his first competition was creditable 28th.

Jack Gemmell ran his fastest 75m sprint and also threw a new pb in the
howler.

The team ended the competition in 5th place out of 8 teams.
