Three Walton athletes represented Surrey in the Inter County Schools Championships.
Alice Wills was 5th in the A string 1500m with a time of 5.10.41.
Carla Letheby was 1st in the A string discus with a throw of 31.89m and a victory over the South of England Champion.
Carla also guested in the shot with a winning throw of 9.70m.
Kate Lee sadly injured her back in the high jump and finished 4th in the B string with a jump of 1.34m.
Well done to three girls in representing their County.

Thirteen Walton athletes were competing for their schools on a fine day at Kingsmeadow Stadium. While the juniors and intermediate sections were well represented, there was a poor turn out in the seniors. Best performances of the day were from Rosie Marino and Carla Letheby who both achieved the entry standard for English Schools. Carla also threw a national standard in the discus.

Southern Men's League 7th June at Hillingdon |

Walton made the short trip to Hillingdon in the third round of Southern Men's League matches and were reasonably satisfied with third place in a tough match behind league leaders Enfield & Haringay and Bexley and ahead of the host club and Croydon. There were only three event wins all day for Walton with Adam McCarthy winning a very tight 400m hurdles A race and a steeplechase double from James Harvey and Steve Mills (who knocked another ten seconds off his pb). Despite this there were many good performances and lots of 2nd and 3rd places. |
