Ebbisham League – final match

Our final match at Coulsden, finished with some excellent performances for the team.
Sam Bishop won all of his events, setting new PBs in the 80m Hurdles and 200m respectively – the 200m time was a new club record at 23.6m.  Tom Cursons won the sprint hurdles with a new PB (12.2m), which is national standard.  Jack Gemmell set a new PB in his 1500m race, coming second in a strong field.  Josh Taylor won his U15 800m race in a new PB, of 2m 18.4s.  Michael Cottrill also won his 800m race for the U15s, narrowly missing his PB.   Josh Cowie performed admirably in the field, equalling his PB in the HJ, and setting a new PB on the track for his 300m.  Chris Vaughan set a new PB mark in the 800m at 2m 44.4s.
All round, great experience for the athletes, and an excellent performance to round off the league season.  Full match 3 results attached.  All are on the power of 10 also.
And so the Ebbisham league draws to a close for another year.  As new team manager this year, having taken over from Sabrina, I’ve really enjoyed the challenge and really appreciated the parents and athletes support.   As a Division 1 team we performed admirably with a much smaller team at 2 of the 3 matches, compared to some of the other clubs.
Special thanks to Jane Bishop and David Cowie for standing in for me as “team manager” on the day, last Sunday.
Many thanks,
Nick.
