Further updates to fixture list

We have now received dates and venues for the Lily B League and some venues for the Southern Women’s League so the fixture list has been updated with these details. Please check which matches you are eligible to compete in (ask a coach if you’re not sure) and put them in your diary. There will be a final updated version of the list produced once the remainder of the venues have been agreed

Summer 2006 Fixtures

Walton Open Meeting Sunday 7th May

Due to the earlier start dates for most track and field league competitions this year we are going to hold the Walton Open Meeting a few weeks later than usual.

The event will be held on Sunday 7th May at Stompond Lane starting at 10:30. The usual programme of events will be held including all track events up to 3000m, sprint hurdles, long hurdles and steeplechase for all relevant age groups and all four jumps.  There will be a few events for under 11 age group. As usual we will be unable to hold throwing events.

Following its successful introduction last year we will again be using electronic timing and photofinish. Select the link to download an entry form and timetable. Entry form and programme .
We cannot hold events of this kind without plenty of help on the day and we would ask anyone available, whether they have experience of officiating or not, to offer their help by phoning Debbie Singleton on 01932 225351

Cross Country Update

Surrey AA have selected their junior teams for the intercounty cross country at Nottingham on 11th March. Alex Ferrelly has been chosen for the under 15 boy’s team and James Bradshaw has been picked as a reserve for the under 13 boys. 

Meanwhile two other Walton juniors had good results in the county schools cross country championships.

At Reigate on 21st January in the Surrey championship Ben Kennard finished 8th in the junior boys race and on 8th February at Harrow in the senior boys race at the Middlesex championship John Redshaw won a bronze medal finishing less than 10 metres behind the winner.

Surrey Indoor Championship

Details and entry forms are now available for the Surrey Indoor track and field champs. The event will take place at the Sutton Arena on the weekend of the 11th & 12th March.

There are events for all age groups from under 13 upwards.
