U13 & U15 Sportshall 27th November

A good start to the Sportshall season at the Guildford Spectrum.
Under 13 Boys finished 6th with Louis Johnson 1st individual overall and Joe Walsh 10th
Under 13 Girls came 15th with Carla Letheby the highest Walton scorer.
Under 15 Boys were 5th with Alex Ferrelly 6th individual overall.
Under 15 Girls were the highest Walton team in 4th place with Rosie Marino 6th individual oevrall.
Well done to all!

The next meeting is on Sunday 8th January again at the Spectrum with an early start time of 9.30.

Holly Run 18th December 2005

20 Walton athletes took part in this year’s Holly Run in a frozen Priory Park at Reigate.

Under 11 Boys. An excellent win for Hugo Fleming who covered the 1 mile course in 6.45. Philip Bearman, probably the youngest runner in the race having just turned 9 three weeks ago, finished a very good 15th out of the 90 runners in 7.25.

Under 13 Girls. Kim Dawkins came 17th in 14.09 and Rachel Stachan 30th in 16.47 for the two mile course.

Under 15 Girls. Sarah Morris came 30th and Nicola Aylett finished very strongly for 32nd in 14.49 and 15.03 for two miles.

Under 15 Boys. Alex Ferrelly ran 17.55 for 3 miles to finish 4th.

Under 17 Men. Maxwell Boorman, in his first race for a couple of years, was 14th with Alexander Aylett 16th. Alex was very unlucky, being in the top ten when he had to stop with stomach problems.

Under 17 Women. Rebecca Simms and Josie Morley were 11th and 12th under 17’s in 29.09 & 30.10 for 3 miles 

Under 20 Women. Claire Pearce was 5th, running 25.08 for 3 miles.

Senior & Vet Women. Nat Warren was 14th overall and 9th senior  in 20.23, probably her best ever cross country race. Ros Aylett was 47th overall and 12th vet in 26.37.

Under 20 Men. John Redshaw ran a great race for 2nd place and 14th overall in the senior race in 35.59.

Senior & Vet Men.  with James Harvey unfortunately dropping out with stomach problems after 1 lap Richard Drew led the team home in 12th place in 35.20. John Redshaw was 14th then Phil Bearman in 33rd was 9th vet (39.28). Jon Ladley finished 41st in 40.27 and Andy Jones was 49th and 16th vet in 41.20. There were 134 finishers.
