FOUR COUNTY TITLES FOR WALTON GIRLS

Walton’s ladies had an excellent day out at the county indoor track and field championships at Carshalton.
The girls brought home four county titles as well as four other medals in probably our most successful indoor champs yet.
The winning four were Kaylee Price in the senior women’s 60m hurdles in 9.38, Rosie Marino in the under 20 women’s 60m hurdles in 9.59, Carla Letheby who threw 9.74 to win the under15 girls shot and Kate  Lee who high jumped 1.35 to win the under 15 girls event.

Jo Regan picked up a silver medal in the 60m hurdles, and Helen Channon, Rebecca Pickering and Abi Wroth claimed bronze medals in the senior 60m, the under 20 long jump and the under 15 high jump repectively.

In addition Helen, Kaylee and Jo finished 4th, 5th & 6th in the senior long jump, Rebecca Pickering was 4th in the under 20 long jump, Rosie Marino came 3rd in her heat of the 60m flat, Abi Wroth was 4th in her 60m heat and 2nd in her semi final but did not qualify for the final and Kate Lee was 2nd in her 60m hurdles heat but didn’t quite make the final.

Two Walton men competed, Ramon Wright won his heat of the under 20 60m in 7.27 and ran about the same time for 3rd place in the semi final and Lawrence Munro was 4th in his heat of the senior mens 60m in 7,64s.
