Phil Cox

As most of you will have heard Phil Cox unfortunately died last Sunday morning. Phil had a recurrance of the cancer which he had battled and recovered from many years ago.

Our sympathies and best wishes go to Hilary, Amy, Tim and Lona.

Phil will be greatly missed at the club where he has been Membership Secretary for many years, the Ebbisham League team manager, a committee member who took on a lot of responsibility for maintenance and an occasional coach.

Phil was also a good distance runner in the past, he ran the London Marathon and for a number of years was a regular member of Walton’s cross country and road running teams.
Details of Phil’s funeral are below. Will those who are planning to attend please let Rod Parker (01932-222510) know as soon as they can and by Tuesday 22nd April at the latest.

Followed by a Thanksgiving Service at Walton Methodist Church, Terrace Road, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, KT12 2SR at approximately 3pm.
Refreshments will follow the Thanksgiving Service at approximately 4pm at the Oatlands Park Hotel, Weybridge, everyone is welcome.
Flowers/Donations: Flowers are welcome; however as a family we are also keen to receive donations which can then be divided between St Peters Hospital and The Royal Marsden. Phil was treated at both of these hospitals and we are sure he would agree that they both deserve our support.
