Walton Athletic Club was pleased to have two of our athletes compete in the European Masters Championships in Aarhus, Denmark last week. Susie McLoughlin (W40) and Chris Taplin (M45) proudly wore the GB Vests competing in the heats, semis and finals of the sprints.

Susie McLoughlin was in superb form in the individual events claiming Silver in the 100, 200 & 400m, with times of 12.97s (-2.7), 26.05s (-1.6), & 59.26s. With heats and finals in each event it was an impressive haul.

Chris was fortunate to be selected to compete in both the relays and was very proud to win Gold in the 4x100m relay with 44.89s and a Silver in the 4x400m (3:34.09).
