Walton athletes had a very successful day at Lee Valley on Sunday in the South of England Masters champs.

In the sprints and jumps Stuart Channon, Helen Channon and Greg Conlon picked up seven titles.  Stu won the M35 60m in 7.25, the 200 in 23.66 and the long jump with 5.84, all three were indoor pb’s. Helen won the W35 60m in 8.12, the 200 in 26.93 and the long jump with 5.25. Greg won the M40 pole vault with 4.40.

In the distance races there were wins for Jon Hamblen in the M40 1500m in 4.29.27 and Jo Locker in the W35 3000m with 10.26.99.

Chris Ness came 3rd in the M40 pentathlon recording performances of 11.64 for 60m hurdles, 4.40 long jump, 1.51 high jump, a 7.34 pb in the shot and a 1000m in 2.58.66.
