Southern Athletics League at Walton 21st June

Saturday saw Walton’s senior men and women in action at Stompond Lane in the third  Southern Athletics League match of the season.

In another very exciting match where the lead changed hands a number of times throughout the day between Portsmouth and Walton, we  eventually came out on top by two points.

Walton 217 Portsmouth 215 Bedford 178 Norwich 79

The result moves Walton up to 5th or 6th place in the league, we’re still waiting for some of the other results.

An impressive total of 34 Walton athletes competed with many pb’s and great performances.

Full results and the league tables can be found at:

Walton AC athletes selected for English School Athletics Championships

Surrey Schools Athletics Association has selected seven Walton AC athletes to represent Surrey in the forthcoming English School Athletics Competition to be held in Birmingham 10/11th July 2014.  Selection is very hard fought in Surrey and the selectors are only able to take 60 athletes to the Championships.

Congratulations Curtis Knight, Sawa Yamakawa, Sam Mace, Sophie Mace, Hetty Taylor, Nicola Bell and Tait Jones – the club is really proud of your achievements and wish you every success at English Schools.
